@ Frontend Developer

I updated an internal utility for generating Frontend and Backend projects, built with Yeoman Generator. New scripts and configurations were added that enable automatic dependency updates, using the latest recommended ESLint configurations and significantly simplifying its installation by requiring only the use of npx. A key contribution was the creation of comprehensive technical documentation on how to use the tool and the procedures for updating the scripts, which was not previously available. The team provided positive feedback on the improvement and clarity of the documentation, which facilitated the adoption and use of the utility.

I implemented offline support in the application for marina administrators, allowing access to key functionalities without an internet connection and improving the user experience in situations with limited connectivity. I also configured the application to be used as a PWA and installed on mobile devices thanks to PWABuilder. For this, technologies such as Tanstack Query were used for offline mutation management, Service Workers for resource caching, and React and Next.js for the Frontend.

I optimized the application's performance in sections with extensive forms (more than 50 fields) by using Formik and custom validations. Despite the limitations found in Formik and the time constraints that prevented migration to a more modern library like React Hook Form, which simplified and optimized the user experience when completing forms. Furthermore, infinite tables were optimized by implementing virtualization and scroll pagination techniques for better performance. Tanstack Virtual, Tanstack Query, and Tanstack Table were used.

I developed the Algolia integration for product search, significantly improving the user experience by enabling fast and efficient searches for one of the leading e-commerce companies in Bolivia. To ensure real-time synchronization of stock and product information in Algolia, a solution based on the configuration of cron jobs was implemented. Additionally, I participated in the development of the guest checkout functionality, allowing users to complete their purchases quickly and easily without needing to create an account. Technologies used: Express, React, SQL, MySQL, Next.js, GraphQL.

I developed a complex carousel with Vue.js and CSS, facing challenges in animations and UI/UX requirements. After analyzing various libraries, Splide.js was implemented, significantly customizing it with CSS to meet design and user experience specifications, achieving fluid animations and custom behavior.

Projects

Web Service

It's a final degree e-commerce project to connect the supply and demand of services (plumbing, classes, etc.). I led the team in the organization and development of the project. It offers service publication, a rating system, a shopping cart with payments (MercadoPago/PayPal), and real-time chat. It includes user and administrator panels with statistics. Developed with React, Express, PostgreSQL, and Material UI, we implemented complete functionalities including authentication. It's a fully functional study project.

Videogames

Was an individual final degree project that consisted of developing a web application for searching and managing video games. It offers search and filtering of video games (using the RAWG API), creation of new video games, pagination, and a detail page. It is also responsive. Developed with React, Express, and PostgreSQL, this individual project was crucial for my full-stack learning and the integration of APIs like the RAWG API.

Snake React

It's a recreation of the classic Snake video game, developed as a personal challenge to explore React's capabilities in creating interactive game logic. It offers three difficulty levels, sound effects, and is fully responsive, working on desktop and mobile devices with touch controls or buttons. With a simple design, the main focus was the challenging implementation of the game logic in React, resulting in a valuable learning experience.

Gif Finder

It's a web application developed as a practical exercise to explore connecting with external APIs, in this case using the Giphy API for searching GIFs. It offers GIF search (using the Giphy API), a color selector for the page theme, favorites (localStorage), and a navigable carousel. I practiced state and event handling in React. Developed with React, Express, Javascript, and CSS, this project was valuable for strengthening my skills in interacting with APIs and implementing interactive web components.

Liteflix

It's a dynamic movie catalog developed as a technical challenge for the company Litebox. This project, built with React, CSS, and Express, implements functionalities such as file uploading and features a responsive design, adapting to different devices. A specific design provided in Figma was followed, and The Movie Database (TMDb) API was integrated to obtain movie information. Cloudinary was used for image management and uploading. This challenge allowed me to demonstrate my skills in frontend development with React, the integration of external APIs, handling design based on Figma specifications, and implementing functionalities such as file uploading and image management in the cloud.
